Why would Allah inspire the Bible but not bother protecting it ? Did it not occur to Allah?

that without protection, the Bible might get changed ? Also, why would Allah go to all the trouble to supposedly keep the Koran from being changed but not bother making it clear what it means ? If it's clear what it means, why all the sects ? Why the disparity between the supposed peaceful message of Islam and the message that all the terrorists seem to be getting ? Obviously, Allah, if he exists, only cared about the actual text of the Koran and not at all about what it actually communicated. Why would Allah care more about letters on pages than about the meaning they're supposed to convey to his followers ?
