Should I wear a stuffed monkey around my neck?

My girlfriend and I bought monkeys at a museum together. She wants me to wear it all day every day. I am worried that the kids at my high school might make fun of me if I show up with a stuffed monkey around my neck. I love her, though, and don't want to disappoint her. What should I do?
