To help with uninsured why don't the doctors and hospitals charge an average of medicare and insurance rates?

Get used to the idea that once your elected representative makes it to the higher offices in Washington, DC, the last thing on his/her mind will be to stand up for the medical rights of "the little people at home" who voted him/her in. Once they reach that level, they don't have to worry about their health care coverage ever again. Slips their minds to think about us back home.
