Insurance Advert Question is this Right for the DVLA and the MIB to Threaten us in this way?

Apparently it only applies if you have a taxed car kept on public land. If you have a SORN on it, it doesn't apply and if the vehicle is kept on private land, it doesn't apply. They are doing this to stop people driving an uninsured vehicle. It's a good idea because accidents caused by uninsured drivers is costing us an additional �30 on our premiums.
